KERRY’S TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
From teaching golf for more than 40 years, studying the golf swing, playing competitively through the professional level and taking numerous lessons myself, I believe it is important to teach the individual, not one specific “Method” or “Swing Model.” I carefully consider each student’s unique physique, learning style, physical limitations and age before making any adjustments.
I listen to your goals, evaluate your setup, and test for tension in your swing. A strong setup with forearm and grip pressure adjustments often corrects serious
swing flaws. I also stress basic fundamentals, especially a wide arc and shaft lean to improve solid contact, and the proper swing plane for better direction.
To avoid paralysis by over analysis, I strive to limit the number of swing corrections by determining the fewest changes necessary to maximize your
performance and reach your goals.
Your practice and playing habits influence my plan for your progression. We’ll work together to find practice routines and practice drills that easily fit into your lifestyle.
“I thoroughly enjoy teaching and look forward to the opportunity to take your game to the next level!”
